About Craig Cinelli
Craig Cinelli is a professional and active philanthropist based in Allendale, New Jersey. In addition to having a busy professional life, Craig is an active athlete specializing in running half and full marathons. In January 2017, Craig Cinelli signed on with Eastern Recycling Services Corp. Eastern Recycling is a scrap metal company. They provide scrap recycling services on a local and national scale, showcasing flexibility and dedication. One interesting fact about Eastern Recycling is that it is a certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise – because Craig’s wife is the proud owner of the company. Craig is happy to support his wife in this endeavor – and takes his role in Operations seriously. It’s Craig’s responsibility to oversee the daily operations of Eastern Recycling, which includes account management, financial decisions, planning, performance monitoring, risk management, reporting, and much more.
Craig Cinelli is passionate about his involvement in the scrap recycling industry. He loves his current role. Furthermore, Craig has served as the NJ chapter president (2005-2007) for the Institute of Scrap Recycling (ISRI). This was an insightful time in Craig’s life, and he hopes to continue participating in such organizations. Craig has served on several different boards over the years. Many of these boards were for organizations connected to his church (the Guardian Angel Church in Allendale) or the town, such as the Pastoral Counsel and the Heritage Fund Committee.
He has also worked with the Carnival Committee. Participating in local boards is an excellent way of staying connected to one’s community. It also is one of the best ways to make a difference, as you become actively involved in all aspects of the organization. These roles suit Craig perfectly, thanks to his Operations experience. In truth, giving back has always been a significant part of Craig Cinelli’s life. He has hundreds (if not thousands) of hours logged in volunteer work, as he enjoys working with different nonprofit organizations. Craig recently earned some attention for donating gym equipment to the Northern Highlands Regional High School. One of the many ways Craig Cinelli gives back to his community is by running charity marathons. This lets him blend his love of running with his desire to help others. Craig has run over twenty full and half marathons for philanthropic causes.
These marathons have been a great source of funding and memories. They have also resulted in some iconic moments in Craig’s history. Once, while running a marathon in New York, he pushed a wheelchair, helping another racer through the course. On a less happy note, Craig Cinelli was one of the marathon runners racing in the 2013 Boston Marathon – the one infamously interrupted by the bombers. However, that didn’t stop Craig from doing what he loves most; he was back the following year. All things said and done, Craig Cinelli has helped earn over forty-five thousand dollars for St. Jude by running in marathons and over one hundred twenty-thousand for various combined charities. With any luck, this number will continue to climb.
In addition to his philanthropic efforts, Craig Cinelli is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders in the recycling industry. He frequently speaks at industry events and volunteers his time to educate young professionals on the importance of sustainability and community involvement. His dedication to both his professional and charitable pursuits has earned him recognition not just as a leader in his field, but as a compassionate advocate for change. Craig believes that true success is measured not only by one’s achievements but by the positive impact made on others and the world around them.
